Construction of the new building has finally started!! Excavation began on July 30th, and it is expected to be done by the end of August -- just in time to house the military dogs from the Stryker Brigade on September 19th. The new building will have heated floors to keep everyone warm, and will contain seven 12'x16' communal "living room" spaces with doggy door access to the attached potty area. In addition, the building will contain a 20' x 24' indoor play area and a separate room with a dog bath and medical and feeding area. You can see pictures of the progress on the pictures page. Since construction has started, we need items to furnish the new facility. Please check out our wishlist to find out what items we need. |

Paw Prints Dog Sanctuary is on the map! We are so excited and want to let you know how you can join in our efforts to improve the lives of senior and special needs dogs. The sanctuary is on 5 picturesque acres in Perry county. It has a charming old farm house and plenty of land to take strolls with our canine friends or just sit and enjoy their company. Our plans are to completely furnish the house so that all who come to this peaceful place can have all the comforts of home. Taking care of the grounds is very important to us, as well. One of the three out buildings will house Paw Prints Dog Sanctuary's office and we will be customizing part of that building to start housing dogs as soon as possible. Please check the list of items and people skills that we are in search of to achieve our goals. |
